Q. What is the interview process?
A. We have a comprehensive 6 step process.
1. Resume Screening - reviewing the answers in the cover letter, work experience in your resume and results of your academic transcript.
2. Phone Interview - Current Situation, Communication Skills, Clarification of Resume Information
3. Basic Accounting Skills Test - 30 min basic accounting skills test on MYOB/ Manual and meet and greet.
4. Management Interview - Interview with manager(s).
5. Psychometric Testing & Reference Checks
6. Offer of Employment & Traineeship
Q. Why a 5 year traineeship? It's the longest one I have seen!
A. To really be a consummate professional we believe it takes that length of time to develop the technical foundation and the interpersonal skills necessary to be an exceptional advisor and manager. The first 3-4 years is primarily focused at developing your technical skills and knowledge. The final 1-2 years are more focused on communication, team management and leadership skills.
Q. I am really interested in one of your other service (eg. financial planning/ business advice etc) how soon can I start specialising on those?
A. We believe you need a solid foundation in accounting and tax - before you can start to give the kind of advice we provide to clients. We estimate this to take between 3 to 4 years. After this time you can start to develop knowledge and skills in other specialisations.
Q. What happens after 5 years?
A. We want to keep you as a manager within our firm and develop you into a Partner of Winner Partnership or provide you with the support to manage and operate your own "franchise" of Winner Partnership.
